Hand made authentic long rise sourdough
White Cottage Sourdough is the best selling bread at Castlerock Sourdough. It is flavorful and versatile. Your choices of sandwiches with this bread are endless, ranging from an open faced sandwich with cheese and tomatoes, to toasted avocado bread, to grilled cheese, to BLTs and French Toast. From start to finish with a 36 hour rise, it takes us two days to make this sourdough! The White Cottage Sourdough is our largest loaf and sells for only $10 a loaf. We do not take pre-orders.
Seven Grain Rye Sourdough is one of our biggest sellers at Castlerock Sourdough! It is a hearty dark rye with a hint of molasses and seven grains adding an extra crunch, goodness, and flavor. The grains include dark rye, rye berries, rye chops, stone ground whole wheat, whole oats, flax seed, millet seed, and caraway seed.

Jalapeño Cheddar Sourdough takes two days to make. The first day we mix the dough and laminate the ingredients of cheese and jalapeño peppers into the dough with a stretch and fold process for the lamination which takes anywhere from 8 to 10 hours. Then we leave the dough to raise overnight for bulk fermentation. The next day we form the loaves and let them rise and bake them in the evening.

Grandma‘s Oatmeal Sourdough is a rising star at Castlerock Sourdough. The recipe is based on the recipe my mother (Fiona’s grandma) used to make oatmeal bread for me and my siblings when we were growing up. I have added honey and adapted it to make it Sourdough.

Grandma Oatmeal Sourdough is only available the last Wednesday of the month. 5 to 7 pm. And at the bread hut for the following days.
We make Sourdough Focaccia every Wednesday to sell at our “hot out of the oven” event from 5 PM to 7 PM. You can purchase Castlerock Sourdough Focaccia in a square pan which contains four slices.

Sourdough Monster Cookies are a healthy version of the classic cookie. Fermented to perfection with the addition of a minute amount of sourdough starter!

The granola bar sourdough cookie is a healthy version of a granola bar in a cookie format that includes Sourdough Starter , oatmeal, raisins, cranberries, walnuts, coconut, flax, seeds, brown sugar, butter, shortening, yogurt, and honey. If you are going to eat a cookie, why not eat a healthy one?

This giant dill pickle is flavorful, but not too spicy. It has a nice crunch when you bite into it. I, Britta, can’t usually eat a whole pickle, but this dill pickle is so mild I can easily eat the whole thing in one sitting. It pairs well with focaccia.
